One of the functions of MEUSAC is to assist local entities to apply for EU-funded projects. In this regard, MEUSAC assists organisations by providing them with information on the different EU funding programmes and by helping them to develop their project idea and write the relevant application form.

As of 2018, MEUSAC has also started to help entities better understand the process involved in project development and writing through capacity building sessions organised for different target groups, namely NGOs, local councils, schools and Government entities. Participants of these sessions gain insight into how to develop a competitive project proposal and tips on how to write a successful application form.

Ever since their conception in 2018, these capacity building sessions have been highly successful. Throughout 2019 alone, a total of 5 capacity building sessions were organised with a total of a bit more than 140 attendees.

These capacity building sessions will continue in 2020, with the first sessions on project development to be held on 4th April for NGOs and schools and on 8th April for local councils and Government entities.
