MEUSAC is currently one of three Europe Direct Information Centres (EDIC) in Malta. These information centres are present in every EU country and provide a local contact point for all EU-related matters.

The Europe Direct Information Centres are there to serve as contact points to answer citizens’ questions on EU-related affairs such as their rights as EU citizens and EU funding opportunities. By means of EDIC’s walk-in centre in Valletta, individuals are provided with information and publications, issued by EU institutions free of charge.

Additionally, the EDIC centres, from time to time, also organise EU-themed events targeted for all ages.  Currently, EDIC Valletta is organising sessions for children attending the Governmentrun summer school known as ‘SkolaSajf.  During this year’s activities themed ‘Children for Sustainability’, children have the opportunity to learn more about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Furthermore, throughout the year EDIC Valletta also organises European-themed events such as Europe Day and the EU Corner during Science in the City’, which has become part of Malta’s event calendar.
