This year marked the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome. This important milestone gave reason to reflect on the EU’s past achievements whilst also kick-starting a discussion on what our shared future could and should look like.

President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker called “for a united Europe of 27 to shape a vision for its future”. In this regard, The European Commission published a White Paper on the future of Europe, followed by a series of five reflection papers, aimed at initiating discussion throughout the EU on the issues that will most affect our future.

As part of its re-launch and to instigate a debate on the future of Europe, MEUSAC is organising a series of events on the reflection papers. On November 13, the Future of EU Finances, along with the five scenarios proposed in this paper, will be discussed. The seminar will be held at Le Meridien in St Julian’s between 9 am and 1 p.m. and will include a panel discussion and workshops. You are invited to register on info.meusac@gov.mt
