As part of its commitment to deliver a ‘European Health Union’, in 2021, the European Commission will bring forward a new EU Strategic Framework for Health and Safety at Work for the period 2021-2027.

The Framework for 2014-2020 was aimed at ensuring that EU Member States continue to play a leading role in addressing three major health and safety at work challenges, namely by, enhancing the capacity of micro and small enterprises to put in place effective and risk prevention strategies, improving the prevention of work-related disease, and taking into account the ageing of the workforce.

In view of the new Strategic Framework, the Commission is asking for views on improving the high health and safety standards for EU workers, in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has highlighted the crucial importance of health.

You have until 1st March, 2021 to provide your feedback on the future EU Strategic Framework on Health and Safety at Work (2021-2027), for the Commission to identify key objectives and set out a strategic framework to encourage EU countries and stakeholders to work together on common priorities.
