Have your say for a stronger and more sustainable Social Europe
The COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath have been documented considerably during the first half of 2020. In view of the repercussions, the European Union has been taking actions for a strong recovery from the pandemic, both from an economic and social perspective.
The European Union wants to recover sustainably whilst leading the way in areas related to climate and digitalisation.
In laying the foundations for a way forward, the transition following this unprecedented period of time is to be inclusive and should not come at the cost of the poorest citizens or Member States.
The European Union is acting with decisiveness as it looks at both challenges and opportunities that the continent must grasp in the years to come. Never before has Europe required such a strong commitment to upgrade existing processes and safeguard the future of its citizens.
To this end, the Action Plan for a European Pillar of Social Rights that works for the European Union’s citizens is being prepared. In view of presenting it in early 2021, the European Commission has launched a broad discussion on the topic towards which any interested party can contribute.
Contributions to the discussion can be done online and are open until November 30, 2020.
