These networks, called COST Actions, promote international coordination of nationally-funded research.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Every COST Action has an objective, defined goals and clear deliverables. These are described in a Memorandum of Understanding, accepted by at least seven participating\u202f<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cost.eu\/service\/glossary\/COST-Member-States\">COST Member States<\/a>. One may browse through all the\u202f<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cost.eu\/COST_Actions\/all_actions\">running COST Actions.<\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>COST\u202fActions\u202fare active through a range of networking tools, such as\u202fmeetings, workshops, conferences, training schools, short-term scientific missions and dissemination activities.\u202fThese actions are open to researchers from\u202funiversities, public and private research institutions, as well as to NGOs, industry and SMEs.<span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The average COST Action budget depends on the number of COST Member States participating in the Action.
