MEUSAC is currently implementing a project entitled ENGAGE, partially financed by the European Social Fund (ESF).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ESF is Europe\u2019s main instrument for\u00a0<\/span>supporting jobs, helping people get better jobs and ensuring fairer job opportunities for all EU citizens. It works by investing in Europe\u2019s human capital.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The specific objective of this project is to strengthen the capacity of stakeholders involved in the delivery of education (including lifelong learning and training), employment and social policies.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This specific objective is achieved through the implementation of three work-packages (WPs):\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WP 1: Stakeholder Engagement Analysis – Identification of the most effective engagement methodologies in order to provide a service which meets the needs of\u00a0<\/span>stakeholders;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WP 2: Strengthening Engagement Capacities – Investment in Government\u2019s services by providing the necessary skills to MEUSAC staff on how capacity of stakeholders may be enhanced; and\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WP 3: Capacity Building for increased\/improved stakeholder – Strengthening the capacity of stakeholders through training and increased awareness on the processes, tools and opportunities to increase stakeholder participation in social dialogue.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first two WPs have already been implemented and the agency is now implementing the final WP which is composed of a training package targeted towards NGOs, trade unions and employer associations operating within the sectors of employment, social policy, education and training.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This training package is made up of (<\/span>i<\/span>) sessions of training lasting 6 hours which address increased participation in social and civil dialogue, more effective use of communication tools, and accessing EU funding opportunities for stakeholders that put into practice EU priorities; (ii) a 3-hour mentoring session with MEUSAC focusing on one of the topics of the training sessions and (iii) a half-day seminar during which stakeholders will participate in workshops focusing on topics such as effective coordination with Government in the social dialogue process.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through this initiative, stakeholders will improve their overall capacity and as a result they will be better equipped to participate in the social dialogue process and actively contribute towards the formulation of policies at national and European levels.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
