In a<\/span>n effort\u00a0<\/span>to further promote the work that is\u00a0<\/span>carried out by the<\/span>\u00a0EU in the field of security, the EU launched a campaign titled\u00a0<\/span>EU Protects<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The main aim of this campaign is to shed light on the work done in the areas of safety, health environment and society.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The “EU Protects” campaign tells the real-life stories of people who work for, or are supported by the EU<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and whose job is to keep\u00a0<\/span>European citizens<\/span>\u00a0safe<\/span>\u00a0in their daily life<\/span>. Their action help protect citizens against a wide range of today’s biggest global challenges.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The campaign highlights\u00a0<\/span>both\u00a0<\/span>the benefits of European collaboration\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>also<\/span>\u00a0promotes a<\/span>\u00a0greater sense of European solidarity. By using real, personal stories, the “EU Protects” campaign brings the EU closer to the citizen\u00a0<\/span>by showcasing<\/span>\u00a0tangible work that makes us all safe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, to promote the work that is\u00a0<\/span>carried out l<\/span>ocally with EU funds,\u00a0<\/span>Europe Direct Information Centre Valletta<\/span><\/a>\u00a0managed by\u00a0<\/span>MEUSAC<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>published a specific information pamphlet that promotes\u00a0<\/span>four recent projects in this field, with the aim to further help Maltese citizens to be aware of the work carried out locally with EU funds.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
