M<\/span>EUSAC<\/span>\u00a0is currently one of three Europe Direct\u00a0<\/span>I<\/span>nformation\u00a0<\/span>C<\/span>entres<\/span>\u00a0(EDIC)<\/span>\u00a0in Malta. The<\/span>se<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>information centres<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>are\u00a0<\/span>present in every EU country and provide a local contact point for\u00a0<\/span>all<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>EU-related<\/span>\u00a0matters<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Europe Direct Information Centres are there to serve as contact points to answer citizens’ questions on EU-related affairs such as their rights as EU citizens and EU<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>funding opportunities.\u00a0<\/span>By means of EDIC\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0walk-in centre\u00a0<\/span>in Valletta,\u00a0<\/span>individuals<\/span>\u00a0are provided<\/span>\u00a0with information and publications, issued by EU institutions free of charge.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, the EDIC centres, from time to time, also organise EU-themed events<\/span>\u00a0targeted\u00a0<\/span>for all ages<\/span>.\u00a0 Currently, EDIC Valletta is organising sessions for children attending the Government<\/span>–<\/span>run\u00a0<\/span>s<\/span>ummer school<\/span>\u00a0known as \u2018<\/span>SkolaSajf<\/span>\u2019<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>During this year\u2019s activities themed \u2018Children for Sustainability\u2019, children have the opportunity to learn more about the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore,\u00a0<\/span>throughout<\/span>\u00a0the year EDIC Valletta also org<\/span>anises\u00a0<\/span>Europe<\/span>an<\/span>-themed events\u00a0<\/span>such as\u00a0<\/span>Europe Day<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/span>EU Corner<\/span><\/a>\u00a0during\u00a0<\/span>\u2018<\/span>Science in the City<\/span>\u2019, which has become part of Malta\u2019s event calendar<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
