MEUSAC, following its re-activation back in 2008, has been at the forefront\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0<\/span>engaging stakeholders\u00a0<\/span>representing<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>many<\/span>\u00a0sectors\u00a0<\/span>to voice concerns and opinions to the\u00a0<\/span>Government on\u00a0<\/span>a number of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>proposed\u00a0<\/span>EU policies that are\u00a0<\/span>discussed at Council level. The Council is the EU i<\/span>nstit<\/span>ution that gives a voice to governments of EU M<\/span>ember\u00a0<\/span>States<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This process has been facilitated through\u00a0<\/span>a number of<\/span>\u00a0consultation and information sessions\u00a0<\/span>organised by MEUSAC at local level. Proposed policies and laws are explained thoroughly to all concerned<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in a bid<\/span>\u00a0to gather feedback\u00a0<\/span>to help Malta take a stand\u00a0<\/span>in preparation f<\/span>or discussions at Council level.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During 2019, MEUSAC embarked on an ambitious project aimed at better understanding stakeholder needs and concerns<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>As part of its plans to bolster the services that are currently being offered, MEUSAC is currently meeting various stakeholders on a one-to-one level to discuss\u00a0<\/span>the best way<\/span>\u00a0forward in terms of\u00a0<\/span>facilitating a process that is ultimately aimed at consolidating stakeholder influence in the EU\u2019s decision-making processes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Following\u00a0<\/span>internal discussions, MEUSAC has this year decided on deepening its understanding of\u00a0<\/span>a number of<\/span>\u00a0thematic areas that require\u00a0<\/span>further stakeholder engagement and eventual feedback. As\u00a0<\/span>a result, stakeholders in various sectors are being engaged to gauge\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>level of interest in selected thematic areas and their potential level of contribution.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
