The Manufacturing and Commerce Section\u00a0<\/span>of the\u00a0<\/span>U\u0126M\u00a0<\/span>Voice of the Workers<\/span><\/i>\u00a0has launched a new outreach project to bring it closer to its members.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Us<\/span>ing the mobile office of the\u00a0<\/span>U\u0126M\u00a0<\/span>Voice of the Workers<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/span><\/i>union o<\/span>fficials<\/span>\u00a0are visiting places of work and meeting with\u00a0<\/span>union<\/span>\u00a0members\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A<\/span>\u00a0number of vis<\/span>its\u00a0<\/span>were<\/span>\u00a0held at\u00a0<\/span>Wasteserv<\/span>\u00a0in the last few weeks, during which the union not only met with the workers but also distributed copies of the new collective agreement to its members. This was done to ensure that the members were aware of how their conditions of work are set to improve in the coming years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

More<\/span>\u00a0visits are\u00a0<\/span>scheduled in the coming weeks and this outreach initiative will also be promoted in establishments and industrial sectors with the aim of reaching workers at their place of work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An appeal is also going out to workers in the private sector<\/span>\u00a0to contact the Union and\u00a0<\/span>schedule\u00a0<\/span>an appointment for the mobile office<\/span>\u00a0to visit their workplace so that they can start to benefit from the services offered by the\u00a0<\/span>U\u0126M<\/span>.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
