For example, new students\u00a0can start off with basic digital skills such as sending emails and using social media platforms. They could then advance to more specialised subjects.\u00a0 More advanced students can opt to gain specialised digital skills Industry 4.0 for the creation, management and maintenance of advanced technologies in the manufacturing sector.<span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To develop this digital\u00a0training and education strategy\u00a0and for a digital learning policy to be implemented, there must be a greater number of teachers and an adequate infrastructure.<span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Digital technology is being used around the world to provide access to training at\u00a0a\u00a0lower cost\u00a0through\u00a0internet clips, online courses, mobile applications and games based on challenges. Teachers and schools are using digital technologies to trace the outcomes of education programmes using evaluation exercises that capture\u00a0students\u2019\u00a0individual progress through tablets and smartphones.<span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Digital technologies such as\u00a0pre-recorded\u00a0educational films, satellite-based tools, television and radio programmes are also\u00a0powerful tools to use to reach students from vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. Employers and unions have a principal role to play in lifelong learning, including predicting future training needs and participating in their provision.<span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>So, can innovation be used to drive lifelong learning? Yes.
