With the upcoming European Parliament elections\u00a0less than 4 months away, European citizens are being encouraged to register their interests in voting.\u00a0During these elections, citizens\u00a0will elect new\u00a0Members\u00a0of the European Parliament (MEPs)\u00a0who will\u00a0ultimately be\u00a0representing\u00a0their interests.\u00a0As such,\u00a0it is important that one is well informed prior to making ones\u2019 decision.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to provide information\u00a0and also\u00a0generate interest amongst\u00a0European\u00a0citizens, the\u00a0European\u00a0Parliament\u00a0set up a\u00a0campaign\u00a0thistimeimvoting.eu.\u00a0The campaign,\u00a0calls upon European\u00a0citizens to spread the word amongst communities at a local and national level on the importance of exercising their democratic right to vote. Additionally, the campaign helps individuals to learn about various\u00a0events and activities<\/a>\u00a0that are taking place in their respective country\u00a0and also\u00a0across Europe.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from this, in order for one to get more information on what the EU is doing on\u00a0a\u00a0individual level, one can visit\u00a0the\u00a0what\u00a0Europe\u00a0does\u00a0for\u00a0me<\/a>\u00a0portal. The\u00a0website presents a series of short\u00a0notes on how EU policies have made a difference in\u00a0ones\u00a0day-to-day\u00a0lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
