However, today, we are moving towards a society that is valuing anything which is instantaneous or instant gratification and, at times, is rewarding egoism.<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559731&quot;:180,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Asked\u00a0whether\u00a0the\u00a0horrendous incident involving Constable Simon\u00a0Schembri\u00a0is a reflection of the society or culture that we are living in today, Michael\u00a0Briguglio\u00a0said that this grave incident is to be condemned but he does not believe that this incident reflects Maltese society.
